Marion Havighurst (née Boyd, January 6, 1894 – February 24, 1974) was an American poet, novelist, and author of children's books.
Her book Song of The Pines: A Story of Norwegian Lumbering in Wisconsin, co-written with her husband, Walter Havighurst, was a Newbery Honor recipient in 1950.
Marion Boyd attended Western herself[3] as well as Smith College,[2] and later earned a master's degree from Yale University.
[2] Boyd's first book, Silver Wands, was published in 1923 as part of the Yale Younger Poets series.
