Barilli reached the last 16 of the 2005 Winmau World Masters, beating Gibraltar's Dylan Duo and Dutchman André Brantjes in the earlier rounds and then beat BDO Gold Cup champion Derek Williams of Wales in the last 32 before losing to Brian Woods.
He then made semi final appearances in the Scottish Open and the Scottish National Championship and then reached the final of the British Open, beating Darryl Fitton in the quarter-finals and fellow Scot Gary Anderson in the semi-finals before losing to Mick Reed.
[2] Barilli's first major appearance came in the 2007 International Darts League where he started at the Preliminary stage, losing 5–1 to Jelle Klaasen in his opening group game, but then defeated Robert Hughes 5–0.
[2] Barilli qualified for the 2010 BDO World Darts Championship seeded 13th, but lost to Tony West in the first round 3–1.
[3] After a number of years away from the Circuit & after lockdown, Barilli qualified for the 2022 WDF World Darts Championship but lost in the 1st round to Canadian Rory Hansen 2–0.
