Markečica (pronounced [ˈmaːɾkɛtʃitsa], in older sources: Markočica,[2] German: Markusdorf[2]) is a village in the Municipality of Oplotnica in eastern Slovenia.

The area is part of the traditional region of Styria.

The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.

[3] Markečica is the site of a mass grave from the end of the Second World War.

[4] The Roman road from Celeia to Poetovio led through the area and parts of the embankments are still visible.
