During the summer of 2006, his talents were spotted by Serbian coach Svetislav Pešić, who brought him to Girona in the Spanish ACB League at the age of 18.
In the summer of 2007, he transferred to the German League to the Köln 99ers, which were led by another Serbian coach, Saša Obradović.

[9] On 17 June 2015 it was confirmed that Kešelj would play with the Portland Trail Blazers at the 2015 NBA Summer League.
In August 2020, Kešelj was appointed as a presidency member of Crvena zvezda in charge of the sport issues.
[17][18] Following the resignation of Predrag Danilović as the president of the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS), Sport Klub mentioned Kešelj as one of the main contenders for the position.
[19] Kešelj appeared on the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS)-led Together We Can Do Everything ballot list for the 2022 general election, as an independent candidate.
