Standing at 1.95 m (6 ft 5 in), he plays the shooting guard and small forward positions.

[5] On 11 February 2020 he signed with Trefl Sopot of the Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK).

[7] On 19 June 2024, Paliukėnas signed with Rytas Vilnius of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and the BCL.

[8] Paliukėnas won silver medal while representing the Lithuanian U-16 National Team during the 2009 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship.
