The mosque sits on the corner of a traffic intersection on a popular thoroughfare of southern part of the city.

The land was purchased in 1990 for the purpose of Eid congregation ground at a price of ₹ 10,000,000 from the Bangalore Development Authority.

Hazrath Maulana Mohammed Shakirulla Saheb is the imam and Khatib of the mosque.
