Mathiston is a town in Choctaw and Webster counties, Mississippi.

The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.

[4] As of the 2020 United States census, there were 831 people, 250 households, and 171 families residing in the town.

32.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 19.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

Most of Mathiston is served by the Webster County School District.
