Matsya Bhaban

Matsya Bhaban (Bengali: মতস্য ভবন, romanized: Motsho Bhobon, lit.

'Fisheries building'), also referred to as Matsha Bhaban or Motsho Bhobon, is a government office building and an intersection in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh.

[1][2][3] The Matsya Bhaban intersection connects several major areas in Dhaka.

Segunbagicha is located to the east and south, Ramna, with its iconic park, lies to the north of the intersection, while Shahbagh and Maulana Bhasani Road link to the west, which further leads towards the New Elephant Road, Katabon, the Science Laboratory Intersection and ultimately towards Dhanmondi.

[4][5]It connects major landmarks such as Ramna Park, Kakrail Mosque in Ramna, Department of Fisheries building, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Anti Corruption Commission, National Security Intelligence, Press Club, Geological Survey, Bangladesh Secretariat and International Mother Language Institute in Segunbagicha and Suhrawardy Udyan, Dhaka Club, BIRDEM Hospital, BSMMU, Institute of Engineers Bangladesh, Shishu Park, Bangladesh Bar Council and High Court and Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
