Matt Wotherspoon

Matt Mark Wotherspoon (born October 6, 1991) is an American former professional baseball pitcher.

He signed and spent 2014 with the Staten Island Yankees[1] where he had a 2–3 win-loss record with a 1.97 earned run average (ERA) in 32 innings pitched in relief.

The Yankees traded Wotherspoon to the Orioles on July 2, 2017, for international signing bonus money.

[7] He made his debut that afternoon, allowing three earned runs in two innings of relief, and was optioned back to Norfolk after the game.

[12] On August 23, 2019, the Detroit Tigers signed Wotherspoon to a minor league contract and assigned him to the Triple–A Toledo Mud Hens.
