[2] The following year he made his first-class debut against the Netherlands in the 2009–10 ICC Intercontinental Cup, scoring a maiden half century with 65 runs in Scotland's first-innings.

[2] In July 2010, he was selected as part of Scotland's fifteen man squad for the 2010 World Cricket League Division One in the Netherlands,[6] playing in six ODI's during the tournament,[5] during which he took a total of 8 wickets at an average of 27.37, with best figures of 4/33.
