Matthias Brändle

World Hour record Matthias Brändle (born 7 December 1989) is an Austrian professional road bicycle racer.

Brändle is a seven-time winner of the Austrian National Time Trial Championships (2009, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2021), and also won the Austrian National Road Race Championships in 2016.

[5] In October 2014, he followed in the footsteps of his agent Tony Rominger by setting a new hour record, breaking the month-old record set by 43-year-old Jens Voigt under new regulations introduced by the UCI in June 2014 allowing the use of modern track pursuit racing bicycles.
