[1] The college was preiviously affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, now it's affiliated to Bihar Engineering University[2] and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

It is also recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Bihar.

The college was founded by the Milat Education Society, Patna in 1988.

The administration of the college is run by a team consisting of 14 members, whose head is the Director of MACET.
