Mayday was an electronic music festival in Germany, where it began in 1991, and in Katowice in southern Poland where it debuted in 2000.

Now the festival is only held around 30 April in Dortmund, Germany northeast of Düsseldorf and 10 November in Katowice.

Until 2013 it was composed by Members of Mayday, DJs WestBam, and Klaus Jankuhn.

Although it played techno music in its early days, in recent years Mayday has opened up to new sounds, from hardstyle to house, trance and EDM.
