The Tees Valley Mayor (also styled as the Metro Mayor of the Tees Valley and the Mayor of the Tees Valley[3]) is a combined authority mayor in England, first elected in May 2017.

The mayor is leader of the Tees Valley Combined Authority.

The office was created under the Cities and Local Government Devolution Act 2016, which allowed for the creation of metro mayors to lead combined authorities in England.

[4] The election scheduled for 7 May 2020 was held on 6 May 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The mayor is a member of the Mayoral Council for England and the Council of the Nations and Regions.
