Megalena crassa

clade Euthyneuraclade Panpulmonata clade Eupulmonata clade Stylommatophora Megalena crassa, is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Enidae.

[1] The generic name is composed from the prefix mega-, which means "large" from the ancient Greek language, and from the suffix -ena, for which the etymological origin is unknown.

[1] Specimens of this species are stored in collections in Europe: Germany (Senckenberg Museum, Institute of Zoology and Museum of Zoology of University of Hamburg), Poland (Institute of Zoology of Polish Academy of Sciences in Warszawa) and in the Netherlands.

[1] This species is known only from a few individuals which were found in northwestern Turkey.

[1] The shell is oval and elongated.
