Mehrshad Sharif (born 11 July 1952) is an Iranian and French chess International Master (1975) and a six-time Iranian Chess Championship winner (1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1980, 1981).

From the mid-1970s to the beginning of the 1980s, Sharif was one of the leading Iranian chess players.

He won the Iranian Chess Championship six times: in 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1980, and 1981.

Sharif played for Iran and France in the Chess Olympiads:[1] Sharif played for France in the World Team Chess Championship:[2] Sharif played for Iran in the World Student Team Chess Championships:[3] Sharif played for France in the Men's Chess Mitropa Cup:[4] In 1975, Sharif was awarded the FIDE International Master title.
