In Greek mythology, Memphis (Ancient Greek: Μέμφις), daughter of river-god Nilus, accordingly a Naiad Nymph, was the wife to Epaphus, and mother of Libya[1] and possibly Lysianassa.
[2] She and her husband were the legendary founders of Memphis, which bears her name.
[1] Some writers called Epaphus' wife Cassiopeia.
