Mervyn Brooker

Mervyn Edward William Brooker (24 March 1954 – 23 January 2019) was an English cricketer and school headmaster.

[4] During this time, he also made a single first-class appearance for a combined Oxford and Cambridge Universities team against the touring West Indians.

[5] He made his List A debut for the university in the 1974 Benson & Hedges Cup, with Brooker making 2 appearances in that competition against Kent and Essex.

He was headmaster of Bolton School Boys' Division 2003–08 and education adviser to the King Edward Foundation 2007–11.

[2] After a short and sudden illness, Brooker died on 23 January 2019 from complications arising from contracting meningitis.
