It operates between La Quebrada in Cuautitlán Izcalli and Las Américas in Ecatepec de Morelos.

It was inaugurated by the governor of the State of Mexico, Eruviel Ávila on 12 January 2015 with 43 stations.

[3] On 4 March 2024, the state government opened a branch line that connects Las Américas station with the Río de los Remedios BRT station of the Mexico City Metrobús, in Northeastern Mexico City.

On 29 February 2024, the state government opened a branch line that connects Las Américas station with the Río de los Remedios BRT station of the Mexico City Metrobús, on Line 5, in Northeastern Mexico City.
