It is located at the intersection of Metropolitan Avenue and Rentar Plaza in the neighborhood of Middle Village, Queens.
This station was relocated due to the original being located in the right-of-way of the then-future New York Connecting Railroad.
By railroad and service directions, the station is the southern terminal of both the Myrtle Avenue Line and full-length M train.
The station, built on an embankment with the north end at street level,[2][5] has two tracks and a concrete island platform with benches.
A steel canopy with fluorescent lights and supported by silver columns covers the entire platform.
[15] The station is located at Metropolitan Avenue's intersection with Rentar Plaza, which is the access road to the mall's parking lots.
