Middlefield Township, Geauga County, Ohio

Located in the southeastern part of the county, it borders the following townships: The village of Middlefield is located in western Middlefield Township.

Middlefield Township was so named for its location roughly halfway between Warren and Painesville.

[5] Some of Middlefield's Amish continue to farm with horses,[6] while other farmers use modern machinery.

[8] In addition to tourism,[6] other major employers include Middlefield Plastics,[9] Mercury Plastics,[10] and Masco Corporation, which manufactures KraftMaid kitchen cabinets.

[11] The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.
