Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (re-version)

Although nothing beyond this about the television show was new, upon repurchase of the franchise by Haim Saban, it was nonetheless officially regarded as the 18th season of Power Rangers by his new company Saban Brands[Note 1], until the promotion for Power Rangers Megaforce included season numbering that ignored the re-version.

Tommy Oliver, a new kid in town with martial arts skills that rival even Jason's, catches Kimberly's eye, as well as Rita Repulsa's.

Soon after a successful training run involving Putties, Rita gives Tommy the Sword of Darkness, which acts as a catalyst for keeping him under her evil spell permanently.

To make things worse, Rita summons Scorpina, a female warrior long buried in a cave, with a real nasty sting.

Watching Goldar demolish the city via the viewing globe, The Rangers have no choice but to morph and activate Megazord.

With their fighting spirit diminished, our heroes return to the Command Center, and the true identity of the Green Ranger is soon revealed.
