Miklós Ambrus

Miklós Ambrus (31 May 1933 – 3 August 2019) was a Hungarian water polo player, born in Eger who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics.

In 1964 his team won an Olympic gold medal and then in 1966 he finished the fifth place at the European Waterpolo championship.

His son, Tamás Ambrus (1964-2015), also succeeded in water polo, was an active athlete a selection of water polo players, and later continued his sports career as a coach, including the head coach of Ferencváros.
