Milton, Iowa

Milton is a city in Van Buren County, Iowa, United States.

In 1872, Milton experienced growth when the Burlington and Southwestern Railway was built through it.

[5] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.51 square miles (6.50 km2), all land.

There were 184 housing units at an average density of 68.3 per square mile (26.4/km2).

There were 204 housing units at an average density of 81.3 per square mile (31.4/km2).

The racial makeup of the city was 98.2% White, 0.2% African American, 0.2% Asian, and 1.4% from two or more races.

29.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

26.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 17.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
