In October 2016, Bergamasco was selected in Italy's 22-man squad for their 2017 Rugby League World Cup qualifying campaign.

In March 2017, Bergamasco joined the Saluzzo Roosters during their inaugural season in the French National Division 2 competition.

Bergamasco appeared on the cover and in the 2004 edition of Dieux du Stade, a calendar in which French rugby players pose nude.
