Lyria is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Volutidae.
[1] The shell is small to medium sized, solid, stocky to elongate-fusiform.
They can be large and globose with a short calcarella or small and regularly coiled.
The teleoconch shows axial ribs, exceptionally with true shoulder nodules.
The columella shows numerous transverse plaits.
