Moctar Ouane

[1][2] He also previously served in the government of Mali as Minister of Foreign Affairs from May 2004 to April 2011.

[4] During this time, he served as President of the United Nations Security Council in September 2000 and December 2001.

[4][5] He was Directing Ambassador of International Cooperation from 2003 to 2004[3] before being named Minister of Foreign Affairs on 2 May 2004.

[6] After leaving office as Foreign Minister in 2011, Ouane became Diplomatic Adviser to the West African Economic and Monetary Union in January 2014.

This reshuffling led to the 2021 Malian coup d'état, in which Ndaw and Ouane were deposed and stripped of their positions.
