Modrzew [ˈmɔdʐɛf](meaning Larch) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Opoczno, within Opoczno County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland.
[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-west of Opoczno and 65 km (40 mi) south-east of the regional capital Łódź.
In the years 1975–1998, the town administratively belonged to the Piotrków Voivodeship .
