Molly Corbett Broad

[6][7] She kept close relations with Syracuse where she was a longtime member of the Maxwell School Advisory Board.

[4] Broad started her career at Syracuse University; from 1971–85, she served as Manager of the Office of Budget and Planning, Director of Institutional Research, and Vice President for Government and Corporate Relations.

[9] During her time in this role, she oversaw a historic $3.1 billion higher education bond and created the state's first need-based scholarship program.

She also focused on doubling overall minority enrollment and worked to make higher education more accessible through technology.

In addition, she continuously sought out projects that could generate more funding for the UNC System and boost the state's economy.
