[2] The 1984 Winter Olympics were held in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia from 8–19 February 1984; a total of 1,272 athletes represented 49 NOCs.
[4] Monaco sent a single athlete to Sarajevo, alpine skier David Lajoux,[5] who was chosen as the flag-bearer for the opening ceremony.
