Moneymore, Drogheda

Moneymore (Irish: An Mhónaidh Mhór, meaning 'large bog')[1] is a townland and housing estate in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland.

The townland of Moneymore lies on the northside of Drogheda, and has an area of approximately 2.9 square kilometres (1 sq mi).

[citation needed] As of 2020, the Moneymore estate was reported to be site of violence related to a "gangland" "drug feud".

However, Moneymore Football Club was dissolved in the mid 1990s and was only reformed in 2003 by which time the playing fields were a derelict meadow with burnt-out cars.
