Morges District

Morges has an area, as of 2009[update], of 372.99 square kilometers (144.01 sq mi).

[2] Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks French (56,847 or 82.3%), with German being second most common (3,224 or 4.7%) and Italian being third (2,589 or 3.7%).

In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the SVP which received 22.18% of the vote.

In the federal election, a total of 19,756 votes were cast, and the voter turnout was 46.7%.

In the Vaud cantonal school system, two years of non-obligatory pre-school are provided by the political districts.
