[4] In 2018, Thoresen won one of the bronze medals in the men's 67 kg event at the European U23 Wrestling Championship held in Istanbul, Turkey.

[7] In 2019, Thoresen competed in the 67 kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan without winning a medal.

[9] In March 2021, he competed at the European Qualification Tournament in Budapest, Hungary hoping to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

[11][12] In October 2021, Thoresen competed in the 67 kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway.

[13] In 2022, Thoresen won the silver medal in his event at the Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan Tournament held in Istanbul, Turkey.
