Mount Estella is located within Jasper National Park and is the second-highest peak in the Trident Range of the Canadian Rockies.
The nearest higher neighbor is Majestic Mountain, 1.08 km (0.67 mi) to the south.
Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises 1,100 metres (3,609 feet) above Circus Valley in two kilometres (1.2 mile).
