Muhammad Khan Achakzai (Pashto: محمد خان اڅکزی—Muḥammad Xān Aćakzaī; Urdu: محمد خان اچکزئی, born 1 January 1930) is a Pakistani politician who served as the 23rd Governor of Balochistan.
[2] He was fluent in Urdu, English, Pashto and Persian.
[2] Following his studies he became a Lecturer at the Government College, Quetta and then Associate Professor at the University of Balochistan before serving in the Planning Commission, Islamabad till his retirement.
[2] He was affiliated with the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and hails from the prominent Achakzai political family of Balochistan.
Achakzai was appointed as Governor of Balochistan on 11 June 2013.
