Mungar is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region, Queensland, Australia.

[5] Mungar Road traverses the locality from north to south.

[5][6] Mary River Saw Mill Provisional School opened on 9 July 1875.

The first section of the line from Mungar to Teebar (now known as Brooweena) opened on 29 July 1889.
