Muromsky District

Muromsky District (Russian: Му́ромский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the sixteen in Vladimir Oblast, Russia.

The area of the district is 1,050 square kilometers (410 sq mi).

[10] Within the framework of administrative divisions, Muromsky District is one of the sixteen in the oblast.

[1] The city of Murom serves as its administrative center,[2] despite being incorporated separately[5] as an administrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts.

[1] As a municipal division, the territory of the district is split between two municipal formations—Murom Urban Okrug,[11] to which nine of the administrative district's rural localities belong,[12] and Muromsky Municipal District, which covers the rest of the administrative district's territory.
