Murray Scott

Murray K. Scott (born January 18, 1953) is a politician in Nova Scotia, Canada.

He represented the electoral district of Cumberland South in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1998 to 2010.

[7] He was elected Speaker of the House of Assembly of Nova Scotia in August 1999,[8] and served in that role until being appointed to cabinet in February 2006.

[12] He officially resigned as the MLA for Cumberland South on September 8, 2010, clearing the way for party leader Jamie Baillie to run in a byelection.

They have two children, Jeremy (a lawyer) and Jan (a junior high school French teacher).
