is a Japanese all-female rock band that is part of Bushiroad's media franchise BanG Dream!.
Formed in 2022, the group's members portray fictional characters in the project's anime series and mobile game BanG Dream!
is represented by five first-year high-school students from three different schools: Tomori Takamatsu (Yōmiya), Anon Chihaya (Tateishi), Rāna Kaname (Aoki), Soyo Nagasaki (Kohinata), and Taki Shīna (Hayashi).
took place on July 3, 2022 with Morfonica's drummer Mika as a supporting musician, and they opened for the "Special Live Girls Band Party!"
[7] In September 2024, they sold out a live show at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai,[8][9] and in late December their second album, Michinoku, reached 3rd on the Oricon charts.
[20] The band name is a play on the word "迷子" (maigo), meaning "Lost Children" in Japanese, in reflection of their individual lack of direction.
A first-year student in Haneoka Girls' High School, Tomori has long struggled with making friends due to the fact she feels she belonged to nowhere.
[24] Tomori used to sing with CRYCHIC after receiving an invitation from Sakiko Togawa during middle school.
[25] It isn't until Anon's arrival that she begins to open up and starts to demonstrate her vocal skills, although she remains aloof.
[26] She is a social girl, and has been able to gather respect from people around her; in spite of her popularity, Anon has struggled to make friends with them.
However, she has a more difficult relationship with Taki, due to her attempt to understand Tomori, which results in tensions between the two.
She has a quite mysterious background, and has been referred to by Taki as a "stray cat" due to her whimsical nature, appearing at RiNG to perform open mics or to practice with the band before abruptly leaving without explanation.
She has a calm and caring personality, which makes her reliable for many peers in her school, thus elevating her to the status of an older sister for some.
A first year from Hanasakigawa Girls' High School, Taki has a brash and somewhat harsh personality, resulting in her struggle to make friends.
[29] The band's song titles are infamously described as "hard to read," purposefully using difficult/multiple-meaning kanji in a style called Ateji.
