Coal was load at Newport News, Virginia and delivery to New York Harbor, Philadelphia and Baltimore.

Mystic Steamship Company was also a bulk grain transporter.

Post Mystic Steamship purchased some World War surplus Liberty ships, both tankers and colliers types.
