Najeeb Jung (born 18 January 1951) is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer who served as the 20th Lieutenant Governor of Delhi from July 2013 to December 2016.

[4] He has published several monographs and reports on the energy sector and is a regular contributor to national newspapers on education and social issues.

[5] He was the Chairman of a Core Committee of Vice-Chancellors appointed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (India) to examine various aspects of higher education, Chairman of a Committee to review the existing schemes for enhancing participation of minorities in higher education, Member of the Special Task Force set up by the Ministry of Home Affairs (India) to suggest developmental options for the Jammu region of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Member of the Senate of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, (IITK) and several other Committees at the national level.

[7] Jung played a crucial role in the privatization of ONGC's Panna-Mukta oilfield that went to a consortium of Reliance-ONGC and British Gas.

[9] Since taking office Jung had been involved in an ongoing jurisdictional dispute with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the head of the Delhi Legislative Assembly.
