Namudag

Namudag is a village and was an erstwhile estate in the Chhatarpur Block, Palamu district, Jharkhand state, India.

Namudag princely state consist four zamindari estate Udai garh, Mahuari garh, Naudiha, Gulabjhari which were ruled by the members of the Namudag royal family.

They belongs from the Gaur dynasty, according to the Balmiki uttar kand Ramayana Gaur dynasty is descendants of the Lord bharata(brother of lord Ram), once they ruled whole northern Asia.

In 16th century group of gaur rajwansh (surwar clan) came from the Sarwar(in rajasthan) princely state (presently also part of this Gaur royal family is sitting on the throne of sarwar) and also from Surpur.

Namudag royal family had donated 1.01 lakh acres to the Bhoodan initiative.
