Nancy Jane Boettger (born May 1, 1943) was the Iowa State Senator from the 9th District.
She also served as the ranking member of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee.
Boettger was re-elected in 2006 with 14,474 votes, running unopposed.
After Regent Nancy Boettger warned Iowa State University in July 2022 to keep free speech in mind while teaching the “politically charged topic” of climate science, she gave ISU a pair of books from the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change — which denies the notion of human-induced climate change.
Boettger was appointed to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa on March 1, 2017, by Governor Terry Branstad.
