Napoleon, Indiana

Napoleon is a town in Jackson Township, Ripley County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.

[4] The town was named in honor of Napoleon (1769–1821), a French General and Emperor.

38.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The racial makeup of the town was 98.32% White, 1.26% Native American, and 0.42% from two or more races.

17.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 5.5% of families and 11.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 21.3% of those under the age of eighteen and 4.3% of those 65 or over.
