Natalie Metcalf

Natalie Metcalf (née Haythornthwaite; born 9 December 1992) is an English netball player.

[4] She was appointed captain of the England team in 2022[5] and led them to their first Netball World Cup final a year later, where they finished runner up to Australia.

[10] Despite an injury-interrupted start to the season, Haythornthwaite was selected in the England 12-player squad for the 2019 Netball World Cup.

[11] She was named vice captain of the England Team for the Netball Quad Series commencing 15 January 2022 against Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

On 8 November 2024, Natalie announced her pregnancy and will not take part in the 2025 Netball Superleague or any international matches.
