National Security Council (Iraq)

Member State of the Arab League The Iraqi National Security Council (INSC) (Arabic: مجلس الأمن الوطني العراقي) is the body in charge of coordinating Iraq's national security, intelligence and foreign policy strategy.

It was established in 2004.

[1][2][3][4][5][6] It is also analogous to the Revolutionary Command Council that existed up until 2003.

The INSC is chaired by the Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani (who is also Prime Minister).
