Naturns

Naturns (German pronunciation: [naˈtʊrns]; Italian: Naturno [naˈturno]) is a comune (municipality) and a village in the province of South Tyrol in northern Italy, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of the city of Bolzano.

As of 31 December 2015, it had a population of 5,739 and an area of 67.0 square kilometres (25.9 sq mi).

[3] Naturns borders the following municipalities: Kastelbell-Tschars, Algund, Lana, Partschins, Plaus, St. Pankraz, Schnals, and Ulten.

The municipality contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Staben (Stava) and Tabland (Tablà).

[4] According to the 2024 census, 95.78% of the population speak German, 4.06% Italian and 0.17% Ladin as first language.
