Naval Air Station Tillamook

Due to rationing during World War II, the hangars were built entirely of wood.

Hangar B was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 and remains one of the world's largest wooden structures; it currently houses the Tillamook Air Museum.

The Erickson Group who once ran the museum made the decision to move their privately owned aircraft in April 2013, to move from Tillamook to Madras, Oregon.

The museum is open year round, check their website for current hours, admissions, upcoming events and exhibits.
