'refugees')[2] is a settlement located 12 km northwest of Kavala[3] at an altitude of 99 meters above sea level.

It is built near and west of the EO Kavala – Drama, between the villages of Zygos (South), Palaia Kavala (Southwest), Amygdaleona (North) and Polystylo (East).

The settlement was created with a government grant for the housing of expatriates returned Pontian Greeks[4] from the Soviet Union.
