Nerćes Novo

Nerćes Novo (25 September 1928 – 11 October 1983) was a former Yugoslav and Bosnian footballer that played as an attacking midfielder and occasional forward.

[1][2] Novo started his career shortly after the end of World War II with the newly formed club Sloboda Sarajevo.

[3] The merger resulted in the creation of FK Sarajevo, for whom Novo competed for one season before moving to city rivals Željezničar.

[4] After four years at the Grbavica stadium, he transferred back to Sarajevo and established himself as a first-team regular, playing in the Yugoslav First League.

[5] Novo represented the maroon-whites for nine seasons, before going on to compete for Igman Ilidža for one year before retiring from football.
